In this project, we were tasked with building a new wing on the house that could double as an ADU. To tie in the space and make it feel sexy and livable, we incorporated color and organic elements to recall the surrounding landscape, but all with a modern point of view. The floor-to-ceiling Arto Cement tile fireplace is a dramatic focal point that divides the spaces into zones: one for sleeping, one for working, and a kitchen – all within 450 square feet. The White Oak wall unit offers order in the office space and contributes to the overall aesthetic. The custom vanity was painstakingly installed over a wall of richly-colored tile, and layers of subtle color are a sweet surprise in the primary bath.
